Back in September 2020, I started contemplating what would be the "theme" and overall message for our January issue. Brainstorming my list of ideas, I decided on "The New Economy." So much in our local and global economy has changed, and unfortunately so many were unable to recover or pivot. Then there were others that we're able to adjust and soar. This is clearly our time to take inventory of our gifts, talents, and skills and make a decision to move our businesses from hobby to profit.
Dr. Keshia Tate was selected for our cover because of her in-depth understanding of how our finances impact our health. Dr. Tate exemplifies the example of assessing our gifts, talents, and execution. Shawntell Parr Taylor of Wealth, Wicks, and Wine will be joining our efforts to provide insights and resources in the area of wealth building and financial empowerment.
