By Carmen Ray Hello Be Well for Women Readers,
It’s here!! Our highly anticipated issue with the theme that is so near and dear to me as an entrepreneur for over 30 years is here—as a living, breathing testimony! I have learned so much and weathered many storms, but through it all I have landed firmly on my perspective on collaboration. By Wendy Campbell My Grandfather was one of my favorite people in the world. He was the first entrepreneur I knew personally. He owned land and rental properties in the little town of Rillito, where my family grew up. We even have a Campbell Street there. I didn’t know it at the time, but he was building a legacy for his children to leave to their children.
By Conchetta Jones I have decided to share some simple tips that you can implement into your life immediately. Often, we receive information and advice that is complicated to carry out; there are just too many steps. We cannot envision how to add this or that into our routine, so we become overwhelmed and, instead, do nothing.
By Rachel N. Wallace No one reaches a level of success alone without help along the way. Having a good mentor or multiple mentors can be pivotal during major junctures of life—both personally and professionally. I have always been a strong advocate of mentoring and benefited from some amazing women.
By Jacquelyn DeLane Well, HELLO SUMMER! ☀️☀️☀️
This is a wonderful time of the year, especially for those of us who live in the Midwest. Our winters can often be long and brutal, but summer is finally here. Yay! 🙌🏽 By Linda Michelle Trainer It has been said that one of the most difficult tasks women have is learning how to practice self-love. It has also been said that self-care is self-love. Women are often experts at loving and taking care of what needs to be tended to around us, things outside of us and often neglecting ourselves until we are completely depleted of any and every form of strength or desire to continue forward. Or worse yet, until we are flat on our backs, looking up in dismay.
By Beverly Brown How does the song go?
🎶 “If you don’t know me by now……you will never, never, never, know me….” 🎶 “Patience is the very heart of love. I don’t think any skill in life is more valuable.”
-- Easwaran (1910-1999), gifted spiritual teacher and author of Take Your Time: How to Find Patience, Peace & Meaning “Child, patience wins the world!” – Lillian Cornelia Brown, my spiritual teacher and maternal grandmother Being a successful entrepreneur is about so much more than creating and delivering products and services that enable you to achieve or go beyond your financial goals. Authentic success, I believe, requires the ability to effectively respond to one of the biggest villains on planet Earth, UNEXPECTED CHANGE. By Cyrena Martin Are you feeling overwhelmed? Anxious? Like things are spiraling out of your control? You are not alone! We are all experiencing a situation that we have never been through before and have no idea when things will go back to the way they were (if EVER). We are adapting to a worldwide pandemic which has changed the way we do almost everything. Essential workers are overworked and exhausted. We thank you for all that you do for us, our families, and our communities. Employees, many of whom are now working from home, are spending endless hours at their computers and feeling like they are at work 24 hours a day. We must create balance.
